Linoit

Linoit is  yet  another  free  web 2.0  app  that  you  might  find  useful  in  the  classroom. you  create  a  canvas and  post  a  starting  topic or  thread any  whom  you  give  the  URL  to  can  then  go  and add  sticky  notes  to  that  canvas. Great  for  brainstorming, planning,  discussion  groups,  etc.  The  bonus  is  that  students  do  not  need  to  sign  up  .... just invite  them  by  sharing  the  URL.

Wiggio

Wiggio is  another  wonderful  Web 2.0 app.  Great  way  for  groups  to  work on  projects.  You  can  make  posts, upload  files to  share, it  has  a  calendar  feature, poll tool and lots  more. Privacy  agreement  "recommends" that users  under  13  get  parental  consent.

Socrative

Socrative has  to  be  one  of  the  best Web 2  apps  that  I  have  discovered  yet!  No  need  to  spend  2  grand on  clicker  response  hardware  ... Socrative is  free. You  can  have  students  do  formative or  summative  assessment  pieces. Upload  test ... create  your  own .. its  all  there. One  of  the things  I  really  like  about  it  is  that  students  do  not  have  to  sign  up .... just  invite  them  to  your  classroom  number that  is  assigned  ofr  you.  Check  it out....... in  the  words  of  Tony  the  Tiger  ... it is  greeeeeeeeat!

Glogster

Glogster  is  a  neat  way  for  students  to  produce multimedia  posters  about  a  topic.  They  can  add  text  boxes,  video clips, sound  files or  recordings, pics and  more. Privacy  agreement says  that  users  must  be  13  or  otherwise  have  parental  consent.
